Statement of intent
Series from the Baghera Universe
last phone is a narrative relic extracted from the Baghera Universe — an intimate vestige saved from the margins of a collapsing world.
The object: an old mobile phone, banal in appearance, but charged with history. It would have belonged to a teenage girl, a few months before the ecological collapse. Its use was no longer utilitarian, but introspective: she kept a diary in it, recording notes, fragments of thought. As if, in this tipping moment, the human sought to fix what they are, in what is most personal and fragile.
The artwork reconstructs through these fragments — authentic or fictional — a suspended instant: the one where the world continues to hold, barely, but where everything threatens to collapse. It becomes the witness of a before, in a universe where the after dominates the narrative.
Last Phone is an artifact from my imaginary universe BAGHERA UNIVERSE, embodied in reality. It makes the Baghera Universe exist not through the spectacular, but through a human trace, silent and forgotten. A digital memory become fossil.
